The National Farm Building Code Of Canada

The NFBC is The National Farm Building Code of Canada. This is the book of the Canadian farm building construction standards.

The document provides minimum rules to ensure human health, fire safety and structural safety for farm buildings. A farm building is used to house livestock, or store and pack produce, or to store grain or manure or other agricultural products.

A house or any type of residence on a farm property is built according to the standards of The National Building Code and local Provincial Code.

The National Farm Building Code 1995 has been updated. The National Farm Building Code 2005 version will be available in the Fall 2005.
